Privacy

Last updated 25 September 2026. Ported from the policy dated 28 April 2025.

Dataraft ("we", "us") protects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit dataraft.work (the "Site"). If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.

We may change this policy at any time. When we do, we update the date above.

Scope

This policy covers information we collect on the Site and in email and other electronic messages between you and the Site, such as the contact form.

It does not cover the anonymized crash data our clients provide for analysis. That data is governed by the signed Consulting Services Agreement with each client. We process it as a service provider on the client's behalf, and the client ensures it is anonymized as the law requires before it reaches us.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, company and anything else you write when you use the contact form or email us. You do not have to give us anything, but we cannot reply to a brief without a way to reach you.

Server logs. Our host records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, access time and the pages requested. We use it for administration, troubleshooting and security. The Site runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts and sets no tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and to deliver work you engage us for.
  • To send administrative notices about our services or policies, where they apply.
  • To keep the Site secure and working, including preventing fraud and spam.

Disclosure

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers. Cloudflare hosts the Site and Web3Forms delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. They handle your information only to provide those services.
  • Law and rights. Where we believe disclosure is needed to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of others, as the law permits or requires.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing or acquisition of all or part of the business.
  • With your consent. For any other purpose you agree to.
  • Client data. Anonymized data from clients is disclosed only as the client agreement permits or directs, or as the law requires.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical measures to protect the information you give us. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against interception or misuse.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, including legal, accounting and reporting requirements. Server logs are kept for a short period unless needed for a security investigation. Contact form submissions may be kept longer to manage the enquiry or client relationship.

Your rights in British Columbia

Under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to us at the address below. We may ask for information to confirm your identity.

Other websites

The Site links to sites we do not control. This policy does not cover them; read their policies before giving them information.

Children

The Site and our services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
